We Assist - Conversational Assistant Mobile App

UX/UI Lead (2018-2019)

Concept, design and test of the “We Assist” feature, an AI-based conversational assistant integrated within the “We Connect” app to enhance the digital experience for riders. The goal was to create an intuitive, scalable platform that delivers user-friendly guidance and accessible information for car owners.

My Role:
• Led PoC coordination and usability testing with technical teams.
• Analyzed findings from user tests and refined user flows and prototypes.
• Mapped user flows and use cases to understand real-world applications of the app.
• Created interactive prototypes for testing in real-life scenarios with UK-based users.
• Conducted design iterations for stakeholder validation and tech alignment with Volkswagen and IBM-Watson.
• Defined user stories, visual design, and conducted handover sessions with MHP Porsche and software engineers.
• Supervised and mentored designers to maintain design consistency.
 

Result:
Despite the project's complexities and technical dependencies, the “We Assist” app was highly valued by the Volkswagen management board. Users appreciated its modern approach compared to traditional car manuals, finding it an effective tool for solving problems and discovering car features. Feedback indicated a strong desire for expanded functionalities, reinforcing the assistant's potential to enhance the overall brand experience.
